. What is DB ?

Welcome!
Dantooine Base is dedicated to the Star Wars Miniatures Game and the Star Wars Trading Card Game made by Wizards of the Coast. Both games are easy to learn and a lot of fun -- if for no other reason than the fact that you're playing in the Star Wars universe.
In the minis game, each player (usually two, but sometimes more) puts together a 'squad' of miniatures from a faction in the Star Wars universe, and tries to complete given scenario goals.
In the card game, two players have to simultaneously battle in the three arenas of Space, Ground and Character. The first to claim victory in two of the three wins the game. Though WotC has ceased production of the TCG, the Independent Development Committee (IDC) is continuing the mission with purely digital card sets.
This site is a resource for set lists with stats, rules, errata, rulings, and the like, which I can generate from a database (in PDF form). The idea is to provide printable material easily accessible at the gaming table, and easily portable as well. The files will, of course be updated with each new expansion.
To see pics of all the cards and minis, download the latest official rulebooks, and read game-related articles, go to the official sites by clicking on the logos to the right.
You can also join a wider galaxy ... ummm ... community of players by checking out the links on the Community page.

STAR WARS ®
All things Star Wars are property of Lucasfilm, copyrighted, trademarked, etc...in perpetuity, since we all know Uncle George will be frozen beneath the mountain with Uncle Walt after he dies.

Star Wars CMG
The Star Wars CMG is produced by Wizards of the Coast, but is still property of Lucasfilm.

Star Wars TCG
The Star Wars TCG was produced by Wizards of the Coast, but is still property of Lucasfilm.

Wizards of the Coast
Wizards of the Coast is the maker of Magic the Gathering, Dungeons & Dragons, Star Wars games, and a ton of other stuff.

SW TCG Independent Development Committee
The IDC is a group of fans who determined to continue the Star Wars TCG after WotC decided to discontinue it. Thanks to programs which enable online play, the IDC is producing virtual sets to continue the fun.

Adobe Acrobat®
You'll need Acrobat 5.0 or better to read the PDFs. You can download it for free from the Adobe site.

Font
If you dig the font for the DB titles, it goes by the name fRiNgE, and may be found at Theme World.

Dantooine Base
This site uses Trebuchet MS (or Arial) but should look fine with most default fonts. It also uses style sheets, but again it shouldn't be a problem if you're not using them for some reason. I generally work on a 1024x768 display, but anything from 800x600 on up is fine. I really hate the way most web pages are locked into a set page width, so I usually aim to take advantage of browser 'stretchiness.'
